THE EVENT
The International Symposium on Circuits & Systems (ISCAS) is the annual conference organized by the Circuits and Systems Society (CAS), which belongs to IEEE, the largest technical-professional association worldwide with over 420,000 members in 160 countries.
Every year ISCAS brings together over 1,000 academics and professionals in a conference featuring daily a plenary session and about 15 parallel sessions.
Participants are offered a rich social programme that includes, among others, the Welcome Drink, the Gala Dinner and the Farewell Party.
CAS decided to entrust The Office with the organization of its major yearly event on the basis of the experience gained in previous IEEE meetings.
THE CONTRIBUTION
ISCA2018 was assigned to Italy following a bid drafted by the Office in collaboration with the Conference Chair.
We were rewarded in our choice of Florence as a famous art city where everything is still within walking distance as well as in the selection of a location able to cope with complex logistic needs.
After the scientific sessions hosted in the magnificent halls of Villa Vittoria and in the comfortable rooms of Palazzo Affari, participants were able to relax and network in the century old garden of the villa.
Well begun is half done … we organized the Welcome Drink in the exclusive Santa Maria Novella cloister, an unforgettable emotion, even for us.With 1,450 registered participants, we managed to increase the estimated number by 20%.
Yet another success, fully appreciated by the organisers and sponsors present at the event!
