Presentation information

Oral presentation (PLATFORM)

Time allotted is 10 minutes + 5  minutes for questions.

  • The time allotted for Oral presentations (O) is 10 minutes + 5  minutes for questions for a total of 15 minutes
  • Only PowerPoint presentations are accepted (please avoid too large files and long movies, limit to maximum 15 slides)
  • Assign your ppt file your name
  • Keep in mind that the audience is familiar with general data on CMT and related disorders
  • Also consecutive oral presentations within a session often cover similar topics. Therefore it is suggested to omit or limit the number of introductory slides (e.g. on the general CMT phenotype, classification, anatomy of peripheral nerve, etc. to a strict minimum)
  • Discussions of presentations at previous CMT meetings have been very lively. So limit your presentation to the novel data in order to leave time for interaction
  • The slide preview room is located in the main auditorium
  • The final programme will be available online (theoffice.it/cmtr2016 ) from Monday 8 August

Oral poster (OP)

Oral presentation during the oral poster session: time allotted is 3 minutes to briefly present the main message of your poster + 2 minutes for questions for a total of 5 minutes.

Please note that 3 slides are allowed  as follows:

  1. Title, authors, aims
  2.  Main results
  3. Conclusions/main message

Please remember that also a Poster Paper version should be produced and displayed in the correct session (see below).

Letter of invitation and visa

All travellers other than Schengen area citizens need to visit the official webpage of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to check if a valid visa is needed to enter Italy. For some nationalites, processing and issuance of visas can take several weeks/months, so apply well before your planned travel.

Registration fee cancellation policy

Cancellations should be made by sending a written notice to cmtr2016@theoffice.it or a fax +39.040 368808.

Before 15 June, 2016: the registration fee will be reimbursed minus 20% for administrative charges.
After 15 June, 2016: no refund will be possible.

 

Hotel reservation
A number of rooms in the Meeting venue have been reserved for the duration of the event at a special rate.
Special rates will be available until June 15, 2016 or until rooms are sold out.

Conference Centre

NH Laguna Palace
Viale Ancona, 2, 30172 Mestre, Venice (Italy)

Directly connected with the Laguna Palace hotel, the Conference Center is a design auditorium with high and extensive technology. It is the ideal place to host any convention or meeting, thanks to its ingenious modular system. Close to the Conference Center, the Laguna Gallery, an equipped and independent open-space of 600 sqm, has been developed; it is able to satisfy congress organizers’ needs in terms of exhibition, but also conceived for any special set-up, as for instance the poster and exhibitor area.

Networking Area
The networking area will be located in the Foyer area.
Exhibition Area
The exhibition area will be located in the Laguna Gallery.
Poster Session/coffee break
Posters will be displayed in the Laguna Gallery and they will be arranged by their presenters, in the day indicated by the organisers and attached on the ad hoc supports. In the same Hall catering services will be served.
Restaurant area
The NH Hotel has a bar and a restaurant, the Laguna Restaurant. When possible, the catering service (lunches and the morning and afternoon coffee breaks) will be served in the Laguna Gallery, the area devoted to Exhibitors and to the Posters presentation.
